There’s been a boom in South American cuisine in the UK over the past few years, with such eateries opening up all over the city – but where is truly authentic? We turn to London’s Argentinian population and ask them, where do you go out to eat when you miss home?

Don’t fancy a beef steak? Why not opt for a fish one? Salmon and mash, with sweet carrot sauce, wrapped in Serrano ham at Santa Maria del Sur
Joint first is El Gaucho and Santa Maria del Sur, with 25 per cent of the votes each.
Here’s why some people voted for El Gaucho:
“They have a very cheap Bife de Chorizo and used to have Trapiche Medalla at good prices.”
“It has a very good price/quality. The meat there is very good”
And here’s why others voted for Santa Maria del Sur:
“Good value, relaxed atmosphere”
Coming third was Constancia, with 13 per cent of the votes. Here’s what our voting Argentinians said:
“The people are great and they treat you like you are at home. The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable.”
