Chinatown alone – there’s tons of places to enjoy the Chinese New Year in London…
Pan Asian restaurant and bar Naga celebrates Chinese New Year – the year of the snake. Since Naga in Sanskrit means a type of serpent, the resto is pulling out all the stops this year to honor its reptilian pal. There’ll be a new Snake Wine-based cocktail and a three-course New Year’s menu (£30).
Starters include Snake Rolls with Avocado, Crab & Rice Vermicelli wrapped in Rice Paper, Fresh Betel Leaves served with Pomelo Salad and Shanghai Beef Pot sticker Dumplings. For the mains there’s some twists on Chinese classics such as Whole Pomfret steamed with Ginger, Spring Onion & Soy, and more fiery options, like Whole Scallops stir-fried with Chilli Bean Sauce.

Chinatown
Of course, Chinatown is at the heart of the New Year party every year, where food and craft stalls will line the streets and a lion dance snakes through the crowds, stopping at restaurants to wish the owners good luck for the coming year. (It all kicks off at 10am at Trafalgar Square).
